How far in advance do I have to book my field trip?
Make your reservation as soon as possible. The earlier you make your reservation, the better chance you have of getting the date you want.  Call Joyce Matthews, our Reservation Coordinator, at 404-527-3693 or fax in your reservation with a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your space.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept school checks made out to Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, cash or credit cards.  (Visa, MC, and AMEX)

If I need to change or cancel a reservation, how do I proceed, and is there a penalty?
Call our Reservation Coordinator at 404-527-3693 as soon as possible to cancel or change a reservation. Your 50% deposit will be applied to your new field trip date. The deposit is non-refundable, however, with a complete cancellation. Groups that fail to cancel 2 weeks in advance will be required to make a full payment before their next visit.

How many students can you accommodate at one time?
The museum has a maximum field trip capacity of 200 adults and students total, for the facility, on a space available basis. This number would be comprised of a maximum 167 students plus 1 chaperone per every 5 students (33 chaperones total).

Can field trips come at any time?
Field trips are scheduled Monday – Friday at 10:00 a.m. Formal programming is from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. when you may eat lunch or have free play as long as you like.

What time should we arrive?
Please arrive no later than 9:45 am. The field trip will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Note: We will not hold the beginning of the program for late arrivals.

What are the fees for the field trip?
The field trip per person prices are as follows:
Students $6.50 + tax = $7.02 total per person
Required Chaperones (1 adult per every 5 children) No charge
Additional Adults $11.00 + tax = $11.88 total per person
To obtain these prices, you must be an accredited educational institution or part of a state approved educational program as required by law. Reservations are held with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Up to two weeks prior to your field trip date and based upon availability, you may reschedule your field trip during the same school year, without penalty. Balance is due upon arrival.

We are tax exempt, what do we do?
You must provide the Reservation Coordinator with your form prior to your visit. Forms cannot be accepted at time of arrival. Refunds cannot be issued for tax that has been paid. Please insure all forms have been received and your order is accurate prior to arrival.

Can I schedule a field trip for any time?
Field trips are scheduled for Monday – Friday. We request that you arrive at 9:45 a.m. to allow time for processing your group’s paperwork. We begin programming promptly at 10 a.m. “Unguided” field trip experiences are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday – Friday. Your classes may stay in the Museum as long as they like.

What are your target ages?
Our target ages are two to eight years old.
